I'm new to QT - how i can learn QT right from base?
-
Hi
I'm new to QT but there is a problem with learning it
I don't know how to learn it right from the base in C++
I cant find any good topic......Also after QT i want to learn Design Studio.
Can any body help me? -
Hi,
You can learn the basics by reading the Qt documentation itself. It's full of examples and guides.
If you are more on the video side, the VoidRealms YouTube channel contains a lot of good material.

Hi. Just replying here because I can't yet start threads, and seems related... Please feel free to redirect.
I am new to QT, (and actually not much of a dev at all - I've mostly tinkered in Android code, and a little qml in SailfishOS over the years), and came here hoping for some help with adapting code in an app that I built from source, which runs fine, but is a bit buggy, since I built it and am running it on SailfishOS, (mobile), but it was made for desktop Linux.
Would this be an appropriate thread to get into the details, or is there a different category or forum where it would fit in?
Thanks

@Nuakount
Hello and welcome.I would start your own thread for your questions. This "Lounge" is for "lounge-chat" really :)
I am not an admin, but I would have thought you can start your own thread, as lots of other newcomers do? If it makes any difference I have upvoted your post, don't know if that (yet) allows you to do more....

@JonB Thanks...
Maybe because I just opened account... When I first was going to reply to a different thread with my question, I go a popup, "This thread is old. Do you want to start a new one?"
I said yes, and typed up my question, and clicked 'send', and I got, "you don't have sufficient priveleges..."Will try again in a bit

That means that thread is really old :) Maybe you need non-newcomer permission to re-open/un-necro an old thread! You should be able to create your own, and reply in that and other current threads. The only thing is I understand you have to wait like 10 minutes between posts if you are new. I don't know when that goes away --- either after so many posts or so much time, or like I said my previous "upvote" may help you :)
