qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display

hello everyone. I am facing a issue while I am running my Gazebo tutorial on my linux system laptop(ubuntu 20.04). It seems that the xcb has been found but cant display
I change the plugins to 1 and got hints below:

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.

I have tried almost everything related to this similar issue and still cant find the solution. can anyone helps me out plz. thanks a lot

As you say, this indicates the problem is not with the xcb libraries but rather with your X windows environment. Search only for this string when looking for reasons. There are plenty of threads with that even in this forum.

Look at your X11 DISPLAY environment variable. You have some issue with connecting to that.

Any chances your desktop environment runs on top of Wayland rather than Xorg ?
