Hi, I am a programmer for Qt.I found Qt Quick seem is more popular than QWidget programme. Will Quick replace QWidgets programming? There is a trend to separate front-end programming. But I feel that Quick is not quite as mature as QWidgets.I used to use QWidget for desktop applications, but now I use it for mobile applications. I am hesitating whether to learn QML to develop mobile terminal. Is the mobile terminal developed by QML as perfect as the desktop terminal? I hope to get your answer. Thank you.

      Hi,

      Please define mobile terminal.

As for widgets VS QtQuick, it depends on what you want to achieve as well as the resources available on your target.

Thank you very much for your answer. The mobile terminals I developed are Android and IOS phones.

Then you should consider QtQuick. The widgets module, while working, is not optimized for mobile devices.

It really boils down to what you want to do. If it needs any fancy animation, then you are better of with QtQuick.
