BUG ? cannot "cancel" read only file dialog
-
If by accident I change read only file - I cannot "cancel" the dialog.
I get stuck in an endless loop...The only way to recover is to reload QtCreator.
Is there a remedy ?If "automatic save " is enabled - it can be cancelled.
( Why is IDE even try to save "read only" file ? ) -
@AnneRanch What exact dialog do you mean? On which OS. Which QtCreator version?
On Windows 10, QtCreator 4.7.0 if I modify a read-only file and safe it QtCreator asks me whether I want to make it writeable. -

In my opinion that is another issue. If the original is fixed it won't be an issue anyway.

@AnneRanch It works for me on Linux with QtCreator 4.12.3
