Unsolved Error of instalation script
-
Hi,
I try install mqtt module to my Qt 5.14.0. I wrote simple script to make instalation but I got error like:
Project ERROR: You cannot build examples inside the Qt source tree, except as part of a proper Qt build.
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop.My script:
#!/bin/bash
git clone https://code.qt.io/qt/qtmqtt.git
cd qtmqtt
mkdir build && cd build
QT_INSTALL_DIR=$HOME/Qt5.14.0/5.14.0
QT_QMAKE_DIR=$QT_INSTALL_DIR/gcc_64/bin/
$QT_QMAKE_DIR/qmake -r ..
make
make installI also noticed that Qt5.14.0 disappeared in the kit. What could I do to repair script?

Hi,
Your should rather do a real out of source build. qmake is not cmake.

@SGaist What does it mean and how to do it?
-
That means build in a folder that is outside the source tree. Move your "build" folder outside of qtmqtt and for the rest you know already how to trigger qmake properly by passing the path to the module top level folder.
