    Hello!

    Just compiled camera example from qtmobility-1.1.0-beta2 on qt 4.7.0 on my windows vista.

    Can this example work with notebook webcam? or any other desktop camera?

    When I am trying to run it in qtcreator I have this error:

    defaultServiceProvider::requestService(): no service found for - "com.nokia.qt.camera"
    Camera error: "The camera service is missing"

    What I am doing wrong?

    Maybe I need to copy some plugins to qt folder? What exactly and where?.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

    Dmitry

        Qt Mobility module is for Mobile devices(Symbian) and not for desktop.

          Well, that is not 100% correct: "Qt mobility platform support":http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtmobility-1.1.0/index.html#platform-compatibility

          The Camera module is being worked on on desktop OSs; so no, it's not ready now, but will be at some point.

            Yes, but its a long way to go. The ultimate goal will be that.

              Well, my point was only that Qt Mobility, despite it's name, is not completely tied to mobile devices or mobile systems. :)
