    Hello, I am a newbie.
    I am interested in porting some GUI C++ (MFC, Visual C++6) Windows apps of mine to Linux.
    So decided to give QT Creator a shot.
    I tried the analogclock example.
    It complained about
    #include "rasterwindow.h"
    is missing.
    I located it in
    /opt/Qt/Examples/Qt-5.14.0/gui/rasterwindow/
    I copied
    rasterwindow.h and rasterwindow.cpp
    to my ~/analogclock
    folder.

    Now, when I compile, it says
    Cannot read /home/john/qt-workspace/rasterwindow/rasterwindow.pri:-1: error: No such file or directory

    What’s a PRI file?

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      It's a file you use as like an include in your .pro file. It uses the same syntax as the .pro file.

        @SGaist Thanks for the reply. I copied the PRI file to the project folder and it compiled fine and runs. It's incredible! This is my first Linux GUI app that I did not write but at least I went through the process of setting up QT and compiling.
