    Could someone please provide me with a link of the comprehensive forum rules for the Qt Forum? I read a general rules post but it doesn't help explain why my EDIT got deleted from my post.

    I posted a reply and then rather than make a new reply simply edited the former post and added an addendum called EDIT. That text was deleted with no notification or justification and has left me confused.

    Perhaps this practice is frowned upon? Perhaps this was a mistake on my part and the edited portion of the post was never submitted?

      Hi,

      No there's nothing wrong with edits.

      There's currently a caching issue that is being investigated that has likely a role in your troubles.

        @Circuits
        If you read this post: https://forum.qt.io/topic/109632/create-a-child-object-with-initial-data/5
        you'll see it's an issue with the forum and what you can currently do about it.

          @SGaist OH haha okay yeah I refreshed the browser like 10 times and it showed up again. Glad to know I am not breaking rules or going insane.

            @Circuits In my world you should never be afraid to break the rules, and sanity is highly overrated.
