Android custom device configuration

Hey guys,
i have a problem with an up-to-date qt/android installation. In Android Studio i create a new AVD with a custom Hardware Profile (resolution, etc.). So a devices.xml get's created in .android/. Now i open QT Creator and open the AVD page in the settings menu. The devices.xml changes to devices.xml.old and no avd is found.
What am i doing wrong?
