What about status bar icon in Android?

It is known - if the inactive/background Android application has icon on system status bar then it won't be closed by system automatically. The Qt allows create icons on system bars. I used it in Windows and Linux apps. But nowhere it is told if this also works for Android in it's system way. At least it isn't seen clearly if Qt5 qApp->setWindowIcon(QIcon(iconfile)); will "hold" application running. Did anybody make experiments with it?
