i have a method in my tree model class which returns a model index based on node's path.

is it possible that this method return a valid model index, but the tree view doesn't have this index?

in other words, if i get a valid index from model, do i need to traverse the tree view indexes and make sure it exists in tree view as well?

      Hi,

Unless you are doing something wrong, these should be exactly the same.

The view shows the content of the model through the QModelIndex objects.
