    Hello all!
I've been updating Qt Creator an got this:

    0_1557130822202_Screen Shot 2019-05-06 at 11.17.46.png

It's appearing every time when Qt Started. I've tried everything:
-- Disable "Do not ask again"
-- Pressing "Take UI Tour" and see this tour

The question is - How to kill this window appearing at time of Qt Creator start?

      Hi @bogong,

I first did the mistake to uncheck the checkbox. Once I noticed it has to be checked, it disappeared forever.

      Does that help you?

Qt has to stay free or it will die.

Worth reporting as a bug, then.

Do any other Qt Creator settings fail to get saved for you? Perhaps location where QtC saves settings is read-only on your machine?

            @bogong
where's you QtCreator installed? It may be a permission thing, if you have it for example in Program File (on windows) and the setting to show the popup is stored in a local file. Than the write attempt will fail without elevated rights.

Just totally deleted previous Qt and reinstalled from scratch. It's working. I don't know what was it ... But now it's working, mean do not appearing anymore. It's became habitual that is something wrong with Qt Creator on Mac OS. At least 5 times for last half of year. But it is what it is ...

                  hi :
after setting the sessions restore . the TakeTour dialog disappear .
file > sessions > manage > select the " restore last session on startup " . done .

it works on my Mac .

@tsvigo2 That disables the whole Welcome Mode, which is overshooting the target.

The whole "Take a UI Tour" feature has been reworked, the question is non-modal now and can be answered with "No".

So why would you want to disable the Welcome Mode screen?

                      Regards
