    Hello,
    I am new at using the Qt Creator ID, decided to start with running some examples. I am specifically interested in the bluetooth functionality. I have just tried to run the bluetooth low energy scanner example and it will compile but every-time I run it, it will not actually locate any bluetooth devices. It says no device found, even if there are active bluetooth devices nearby.

    I am running the Qt Creatior IDE on Windows 10.

    Thank you for any help.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      What version of Qt are you using ?

      Qt 5.13 removes the need to first pair the device before they become discoverable

        This is what I have set up for it, I have very limited understanding on the kits. I believe I am using 5.12.

            @sabinacomputerengineering yeah, thats Qt 5.12.

            Have you tried to pair a device with your computer?

            Qt has to stay free or it will die.

                I have looked at more of the example to run, I discovered that if I pair my phone to my laptop the QML low energy scan example will run and "discover" my phone however, when I run the Bluetooth Low Energy Scanner example it does not discover my device, with my phone being paired to my laptop and then also not having it paired to my laptop. Is there a reason why?
