    Dear all,
my Qt Creator does not display help contents. But Qt Assistant displays all help contents. I've removed and reinstalled Qt. But the situation remains the same. I use Qt 4.6 (under Qt is a directory 2009.5). Have someone an idea as to how to make Qt Creator display the help contents? Many thanks for any hints!

      Hi,

Did you check the configuration options of Qt Creator for the help stuff ?

Out of curiosity, why are you using such an old version of Qt ?

I've got a book with a DVD of this version. Therefore I'd like to learn first with this book this version.
Actually I've installed the program on another computer where the help contents are displayed correctly. I've compared the configuration options for help on both computer and found really differences. If I try to add an item, a file selection screen is popped up, and I don't know where I should choose a file to get the same setting on the other computer. As I've said in my original post, after reinstallation the situation is not changed. Should I do something after the deinstallation and before the reinstallation?

While I understand that, you should also consider that using a 10 years old unsupported version of Qt is a bad idea to get started. Especially since Qt 5 is mostly compatible with Qt 4.

Qt 4 has reached end of life a couple of years ago.

@Weichao-Wang have you checked if the help files are registered under Tools > Options > Help in Qt Creator?

Qt has to stay free or it will die.
