no signal of the target matches the name
-
Hello fellow Qt Devs,
I wanted to report on a silent error not reported during build , but only at runtime.
The signal handler functions name must match the signal name, and of course with first letter capitalized.

If you want to reproduce the error yourself, the code used is in the repository for C++ Integration course https://github.com/qt-learning/QML-Integration-Intermediate/tree/main - Section 4 or Section 5.The other post mentioning the error has another dynamic issue, mine could be solved by just renaming the function.
Cheers, DSU

Hi,
Which version of the code do you have ? I just cloned the repository you linked and both section 4 and section 5 Globals class have numChanged declared as signal and both are working properly.

Sorry, I misunderstood the goal of your post.
I thought you encountered an inconsistency in the content of the examples.Glad it's all good.
Happy learning !

This is a nice mini writeup that will surely help people who encounter (and then google) the output: "This is probably intended to be a signal handler but no signal of the target matches the name"
