Issue with Qt Creator crashing on Windows 10

Not sure if I should start here or start new post.
Same problem though.
Qt Creator will not open.
4.11.2 is last version that will run.
4.14 through 5.03 won't open.
Qt5.15.17 was compiled and seems ok.
Windows 7 x64 with all updates and drivers.
Dual Nvidia GTX1070's with cuurent drivers
3 dell monitors, also updated.
DirectX 11_1
OpenGL 4.6
OpenGL ES 3.2
I have tried everything listed above, -noload all -load Core, even safe mode.
I ran procom, but not sure what to look for. I found the following entries:
FILE LOCKED WITH ONLY READER
FAST IO DISALLOWED
BUFFER OVERFLOW
NAME NOT FOUND
NO MORE FILES
and
NAME COLLISION.
Avast is turned off. Defender is also. I also deleted Qt Projects folder...several times.

A new thread would be preferable rather than necroposting such an old topic.

Out of curiosity, why such antique versions of Qt Creator ? We are at version 17.

That's the problem. Windows 7 is not supported by Qt 6, and newer Qt Creator is compiled against Qt 6.

Upgrade your operating system.

@aha_1980 Damn ! I looked for the Windows version and somehow I read 10 in place of 7...
