I can't install Qt open source
-
Hello everyone,
I am trying to install open source version with the Qt online installer, i have made a proper Qt account, verified the account and checked the "I am an individual person not using Qt for any company" box. But when i run the installer, and enter my email and password in the login page, i get this error message saying "your company has commercial qt licences please contact ..........@qt.io to see if you are eligible to use Qt open source". And it does not start the installation. How can i fix this?

Hi
are you sure you downloaded the proper version of the Qt Installer ? it's a mistake I made a few years ago and had my account then flagged as commercial.

Hi,
Did you use your company email to register ?
In between, you can use the aqtinstall tool to setup Qt. -

Hi @Melih, and welcome!
It sounds like the Qt Account server has detected that your email domain is linked to some commercial licenses, so they want to ensure that "mixing" commercial and open-source use doesn't occur.
You have two options:
- Create a Qt account using a different email address that's not provided by your employer, OR
- Contact the listed email address and ask them to let your account proceed with open-source installation
