Just an idea, I get a bit annoyed by more and more seeing QT written instead of Qt, wouldn't it be nice to just automatically replace all those QT's by Qt's with a nice little warning just before submitting a post. Things would look so much cuter ;-)

    Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).

I've had that same idea a few times myself, but thought it might be a bit.. um.. special.

If more folks give it a +1 I'll seriously consider it :)

+1 from me - it is not that likely people will talk about QuickTime here :)

I guess if you mean QuickTime it would be more logical anyway to write it full out to avoid confusion. Just my 2 euro-cents :)

          Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).

If the replacement is smart, that's ok ... But we don't want to have QThread translated to Qthread :-)

Indeed. On second thought: no thanks. I'd like to stay in control on what I write. Auto replacing is probably not a good idea.

                  -1 to auto replacement ...
I would rather have tip or info for the day on QtDN somewhere and keep showing this and many more msgs in a loop ... what say?

Come on guys, why should QThread become Qthread, regular expressions anyone?

Just a simple warning before posting when you write QT all over the place and the why you shouldn't and if you want it to be corrected. Only newbies will get bothered, as we all already know how to write Qt ;-)

At least it will save you from each time, over and over, correcting people that insist writing QT.

                    Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).

a short hint before post is ok, I think, auto replacement would also be ok, if it's smart enough.

Thanks guys (and cat!), as has been pointed out I think auto replacement is out of scope. A little notice - either fixed, or on "QT" detection - would go a long way. Let's do that.

                            Added it to backlog!

I’ve few times thought that I should post some kind of (un)funny poster about QT and Qt... I wonder there’s such.
