My chrome extension for QtDevNet
-
Did you notice the "announcement":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/5451/ that the API that this plugin (and other similar applications) use has been temporarily disabled?
-
I didn't, thanks for the information.
-
Hi Andre, thanks for making aware of the announcement. I'll wait for further information.
-
Any update? I really can't live without it!
-
Vass, installed the chrome extension and then noted that the API is disabled. But from chrome 12 beta, I am still able to go to the options page and make changes to my setting. If I try the same in Chromium browser 10.0.648.205 (on Ubuntu 10.10 .. no Natty yet ...), it does not take me to the options page ... wonder if any issue with the browser or is it your extension. Just wanted to update you on the same ...

I´ve posted an update on the API usage issue here: http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/5451

Marius when do you open API page again?

My guess would be when the load peaks are down enough, and according the image Marius posted in the other topic he referenced, that is not yet the case. -
@Vass: I've updated the plugin in Chrome and it looks like it's constantly hitting the devnet server for 5-7kb/s
See screenshots:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/217336/2011-06-23_000749.png (with plugin enabled) -
It's giving me an error: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/217336/error.png
"Error 12 (net::ERR_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES):"
It has also grown to take a lot of memory, maybe that has something to do with it. See: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/217336/memory.png
While it was working I did see some cool badge action going on :)

@mariusg Hmmm... Can you tell me you OS and Chrome version? I check this page on my Chromium 14.0.800.0 it is ok http://oi56.tinypic.com/14t8njm.jpg
-
I'm on Chrome 12.0.742.100 (the latest it's telling me) on Windows 7 Enterprise.
-
Ok I will check.... It's all so strange :( and make me sad
-
@Vass Is the Chrome download link on the first of your posts still active?
When I try to download it gives an error. -
It's been running for a little while (not surfed any), looks like this now: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/217336/running-memory.png

Don't forget and don't worry, it's going to be great when stable :)

Here is the CPU graph for today:

So we're at 5x normal now.

Thanks
This time the icon is working. It shows the number of unread posts. But when clicking on icon, it got an error message. It gives return code 12 ( net::ERR_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES ).
Also trying to open options gives the same error.
This is on Win7 64bit, Chrome 12.0.742.100. -
I randomly have the same issue same platform same chrome version.
