    Hi,
https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtwebengine-licensing.html states that The arguably most restrictive license to be respected by all users is LGPLv2.1.
But I can see that in Qt 6.5 a new dependency has been added with GPLv2 license : XDG Shared Mime Info https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtwebengine-3rdparty-xdg-shared-mime-info.html.
    Am I reading correctly ?
Is the XDG Shared Mime Info always included in binaries built by The Qt Company ?
If so, isn't QtWebEngine now GPLv2 with Qt 6.5 LTS default binaries ?
If so, can we build QtWebEngine without this part and go back to LGPLv2.1 ?
    Thanks for your insight.

      Hi,

WARNING: I am not a lawyer.

I would say you are correct. You should bring this to the Qt Company. This a user forum.
