Qt Creator Design button is disabled

Hi, I just started using qt creator version 7.0.0. I created a project (Qt for Python, Qt Quick Application) and even when I open the qml file, the design button is greyed out. I don't know what is wrong. I tried reinstalling, didn't work. Am I missing something? or something is not right ? I don't know. Btw I am using pyqt version 5.15.2 and pyside version 5.15. Please let me know if anyone can help me.

I am also having this problem in version 6. QML file is selected but it is still greyed out
Edit: The Designer 9.0.0 plugin is installed and I restarted (shown at the bottom)

For Design mode for .ui.qml files, you need to enable the QmlDesigner plugin. The "Designer" plugin is for widgets only.
