issue with building qt from source

OK, better! I'm afraid I don't know about this area, just trying to make it so someone else can answer. I suspect they will want to know what your configure command-line was, and what version of Qt you are trying to build?

i use qt 5.15.4 source and this is my configure
/configure -release -opengl desktop -eglfs -prefix /usr/local/qt5.15 -opensource -confirm-license -skip qtwebengine -nomake tests -make libs -pkg-config -no-use-gold-linker -v -recheck

How did you download the source? Via git? If so did you use the --recursive clone option? Maybe you just cloned the main repository without submodules?

In any case you can also get the sources via online installer. It gets everything.

Bear in mind I do not build from sources, so this is only a guess. Is qtbase the only target in the makefile? Are you supposed to specified make target-name to build something other than just qtbase? Or if you do the make does it recurse down and build more than you assume it will build?
