QT license file location

I receive the following error when i try to run qt creator: unable to read local Qt licenses , Licensefile C:\Users\alex.wendt.qt-license does not exist . The software was installed on the system adminstrators account where we manually entered the license key and will not run on my windows account. I copy and pasted the qt-license.txt file downloaded from my account in the directory C:\Users\alex.wendt\ and in C:\Users\Alex.Wendt.qt-license\ however the error still persists
