Decided to quit my job of the last 3 years. Dept director actually had the nerve to categorically deny me on every issue I said I needed to stay, said how important I am and that they need to figure out how out to keep me there, and then at the end snuck in a concession he expects me to make: I'm categorized as a remote worker and he wants me in the office instead.

I'd have absolutely no self-respect if I bought into his BS. Planning to turn in company equipment Wednesday afternoon, then walk out. When any company refuses to accept that they need me more than I need them then we're done.

I guess the plus is that I'll have more time and motivation to annoy people on Qt forums. LOL

The dystopian literature that served as a warning in my youth has become an instruction manual in my elder years.

@Kent-Dorfman I'm going a head and close this one. It seems to attract a lot of spammers. I hope you don't mind @Kent-Dorfman
