Hello, I am new to QT, I install qt@5 by homebrew, and configure the qmake of that in Qt Creator successfully. but I don't know how to "Link with Qt" since when I choose the same directory of installed qt@5, the path becomes red, and the dialog shows me "Qt installation information was not found". I don't understand which directory should be chosen there? Can anyone help me? thank you.!21653453758_.pic.jpg

A directory containing one of the files mentioned in the pop-up you posted.

Yeah, but which directory contains these files? I've searched these files in qt@5 (/usr/local/Cellar/qt@5) but I didn't find it.

I solve that by using qt library from Qt Creator Installer setup.

'Link with Qt ...' is meant to be used when you've an installation of Qt by the Qt online installer, but for some reason want to use a separately installed Qt Creator.

If you have just Qt libraries from somewhere else, you can register them via 'Add'. You need to manually add and configure a Kit then: https://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-project-qmake.html

i just upgraded from qt creator 4 to 9 and my qt kits were not detected anymore. I pressed the the "Remove link" button (I never made the link in the first place) and after the restart it then autodetected my qt install again
