qt Ethernet communication

Hi i hope you are all fine .
I just created a gui with qt qml and i want to controll a robot with it .
The gui is on my ubuntu laptop .
The robot contains a rpi conected to arduino with camera ,some motors and sensors
The connection between the laptop and the rpi is with ethenet cable .
What protocole should i use (bidirectional data transfer,video transfer) ,some code examples if its possible .
