Qt for Embedded Ubuntu

Hey all - I'm quite new to the embedded world and presently I would like to understand how to go about compiling my Qt applications so that I can use them on a SmartQ 5 device which is running Ubuntu 9.10 on an ARM environment.

I'm not looking someone to have all the answers - I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for getting going with this?

You can use cross-compiler for arm under your desktop linux for example.

Does the ARM device running Ubuntu need to have the Qt libraries installed on it tho?

If it is not installed by default, you will have to add the Qt libs (including the used plugins and any other necessary libs) to the device too.
