    Hi all,

I am currently developing a software tool as part of my studies. I am using QML and python. The front end is ready and now I am going to start working on the backend.

Based on some checkboxes that the user selects, I need to search through the database and output the results in a screen.

Kindly, can anyone direct me on how to tackle this task please? Up to now, I have written a class in python that would open/close/query the database. My concern is on how to store the results and display them. Possibly this involves connections but I am really lost and do not know how to break the problem into pieces.

Thanks a lot in advance for the support.

    Em

      Hi,

What is the format of the results ?
      A list of string ?
      A table of values ?
Did you consider Qt's QSqlQueryModel ?

@SGaist Thank you for your reply. Your questions made me think about the strategy I am going to take in handling the contents of the tables. I thought that it might be easier to handle dictionaries through python and then send the info to the front end
