    OS: Windows 10
    QtCreator version: 4.14.2 (c34b950227)
    Qt version: 5.15.2 (MSVC 2019, 64bit)

QtCreator constantly deadlocks for 5-20 seconds, whenever I open a file that wasn't opened before, or when I open a project (CMake based), or even when I just navigate around the project structure.

The task manager says that the qtcreator is not responding, the plugins are well and alive. I am using clang code model plugin, however, the task manager says its working..

@AzBako You can try to disable all plug-ins. If the issue goes away you can enable one plug-in after another until the issue comes back. Then you will know which plug-in it is (if the issue is caused by a plug-in).
Also it is worth trying to temporarily disable the anti virus software.
And check the Windows logs (mmc).

@jsulm What is the source of the log that I should check in the Event Viewer?
