I use chrome and works fine for me.
-
Just in case you thought it had started and could not hear anything. It is yet to start - in 2-3 minutes. Also you need to have flash plugin installed.
-
I'm trying with chromium and with the flash plugin (linux, 64 bit) and I can login. :-(
-
Forget it, I'm in now, but using Iceweasel (firefox).

You mean to say can't login - its a typo right.
-
Yes, sorry. I was in a hurry because it was past the start hour, but I'm in now I haven't missed much important.
-
Overall the session was ok. I think we have much more knowledge being shared on QML here in the forums. And felt that Forum Nokia needs to improve a lot more on their webinar contents and presentation as developers expectations are more.
Would like to know others opinion who attended it.

Was this recorded?

Usually they are. If it was recorded the webcast will be released after a week or so. I will post it once the link is available.
-
It was recorded, and the URL was shared at the end, but I don't have it. I think the initiative was good, but it was just an introduction. They did an app that does the same as the flickr example/demo. That is, a Button that populates a ListView with data from the "last pictures" posted on flicrk, using the XmlModel.
There were some "hiccups" during the live stream, and they said it wasn't sure if the recorded video would have the interrupts or not.
-
They said that an email would be sent to those who registered with a link to the recording. Haven't received that email yet.

One slight issue I noticed in this webcast, the presenter said something to the effect that the Component name can be small case or uppercase, and that it doesn't matter.
I feel that he should have tried to confirm to the guidelines/best practices: see "here":http://doc.trolltech.com/latest/qml-tutorial2.html
which says,bq.
The component's filename must always start with a capital letter.what do you think?
-
I have seen this in QtCreator somewhere. It said component name must start with capital letter while method name should start with lowercase letter.
-
IIRC, Components should start with uppercase, and ids with lowercase. This is the way that one distinguishes easily between the two.
