What are exactly those "webcasts"? Live video? Or some sort of fixed stills with live chat? And is only available to people in America?

I think it is just because of the time of the webcast. Which by the way is:

        Start Time: 12/10/2010 1:00 PM
(GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US and Canada)

        My thanks also.

I'm a bit lazy (and annoyed) when it comes to registration, but you are right, I will give it a try.

Registration was pretty painless. Unlike some.

Its a webinar - You can see the ppt and hear the audio. And using chat you can shoot any questions.

I had trouble with Chrome and had to startup Firefox to get it running.

Just in case you thought it had started and could not hear anything. It is yet to start - in 2-3 minutes. Also you need to have flash plugin installed.

I'm trying with chromium and with the flash plugin (linux, 64 bit) and I can login. :-(

You mean to say can't login - its a typo right.

Yes, sorry. I was in a hurry because it was past the start hour, but I'm in now I haven't missed much important.

Overall the session was ok. I think we have much more knowledge being shared on QML here in the forums. And felt that Forum Nokia needs to improve a lot more on their webinar contents and presentation as developers expectations are more.

Would like to know others opinion who attended it.

Usually they are. If it was recorded the webcast will be released after a week or so. I will post it once the link is available.

It was recorded, and the URL was shared at the end, but I don't have it. I think the initiative was good, but it was just an introduction. They did an app that does the same as the flickr example/demo. That is, a Button that populates a ListView with data from the "last pictures" posted on flicrk, using the XmlModel.

There were some "hiccups" during the live stream, and they said it wasn't sure if the recorded video would have the interrupts or not.

They said that an email would be sent to those who registered with a link to the recording. Haven't received that email yet.
