I understood that it's last 7*24 hours, no?
Exactly. Points older than 7*24 hours are not considered in that list.

Probably looked at me. I have same points on past 7 days and hall of fame.
I joined on Dec. 2 and it's now the 8th, so it'll start decreasing soon :). -
Denis got more points in the past week.
You must also remember we get double points for December. 4000 is the same as 2000 of old.Besides, the first week is easy. I hadn't seen any of the pages before, so I could rate them, tag them and contribute to them. Now that I've read every post, wiki and FAQ my points will fall.
There was a lot more conversation going on due to this Project Elf as well. People were finding stuff to talk about and I was responding. -

Just noticed that a lot of people with less posts than I have have many more points :(

Main source of points for people is tagging and voting of posts, I suppose. Those two gives quite free points, after all.
As xsacha told, new users have nothing rated, so we have many posts to rate. That's a good amount of really easy points in the beggining. Of course, I'm not voting on everything. As I mentioned, I'm trying to clean up tags (fixing typos, etc.). That's another source of points in my score. I still have much to do in the wiki though, and I expect that to be my target on the weekend.
