Look at the "Hall of Fame":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/ what about adding the [more...] button ;)
By the way I have idea, hide previous winners from "Top 5 this week" to end of December. ;)
Remember, the list of "Top 5 this week" is based in the last 7 days of activities, it is not the same ranking used for the Project Elf :-)

You are right. I was looking for the "members list":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/member/memberlist and now I found it ;) - Some information could be added there and some further sort criteria too, why not the points last week?

And I was hoping was the last week as in "from Sunday to Saturday"... :(

One more suggestion just to not miss the opportunity: maybe instead of showing the total number of points for the users on the "last week" it could show the number of points they "generated" last week... Not sure if it makes any more useful but ...

fcrochik, what do you mean by "generated"? How does it differs from what is shown now?

I understood that it's last 7*24 hours, no? I like it this way, because there is no single moment during the week that you can find the "top 5" with people with 0 points or very few.

Right now it shows your life time points - not just the points you added to the pile last week.... The numbers on last week match the "hall of fame" for the user.

OOOPS!.... I am completely wrong... it does show a different number... I guess when I first checked I compared someone that had started last week or I just didn't pay enough attention...

Exactly. Points older than 7*24 hours are not considered in that list.

Probably looked at me. I have same points on past 7 days and hall of fame.
I joined on Dec. 2 and it's now the 8th, so it'll start decreasing soon :).

Denis got more points in the past week.
You must also remember we get double points for December. 4000 is the same as 2000 of old.

Besides, the first week is easy. I hadn't seen any of the pages before, so I could rate them, tag them and contribute to them. Now that I've read every post, wiki and FAQ my points will fall.
There was a lot more conversation going on due to this Project Elf as well. People were finding stuff to talk about and I was responding.

I am clearly doing something wrong (or not doing the "right" thing)...

Just noticed that a lot of people with less posts than I have have many more points :(

Main source of points for people is tagging and voting of posts, I suppose. Those two gives quite free points, after all.

As xsacha told, new users have nothing rated, so we have many posts to rate. That's a good amount of really easy points in the beggining. Of course, I'm not voting on everything. As I mentioned, I'm trying to clean up tags (fixing typos, etc.). That's another source of points in my score. I still have much to do in the wiki though, and I expect that to be my target on the weekend.

Yes, but since I joined during the points-are-doubled time, all my activity, instead of just the last days, has gotten me more profit than to others. I still wonder, tough, how xsacha can average 650 points per day. It's awesome. :)
