I can't get Qt Creator working, I start it, I see it in the task manager but the window never shows up.
This started when I updated from Version 4.11.9 to 4.12.0, I did not need it back then so I abandoned it. Now I need to open it again but it still doesn't. I have tried to update it to 4.12.3, completely reinstall Qt but it still does not work. I have also tried some command line arguments, like -noload all, -notour, -temporarycleansettings... still same. I have also tried to start Windows in secure mode to make sure that there is not something else messing with it... Qt Creator is still not visible.
Strange thing is that I have installed Qt on my other computer, where Qt has never been installed before and it works there.

Is there some sort of settings issue? Or registry entry that messes with it? How can I reset it so that it looks like Qt has never been installed on my main computer? Or any other ideas I could try out?

@Gertio Did you try to start QtCreator from a terminal to see whether it outputs any errors/warnings?
          Any anti-virus software running?

Yes, I tried, cmd does not show anything, technically it is running so not exiting and so no exit code. It is just running in background and the window is not created I guess.
I use Windows defender, so nothing different to the computer where it does work.
Edit: just tried to disable realtime security there, but it also did not help.

Strange, must be something in the user settings.
I have just created another Windows user on that computer, logged in there and Qt Creator works there.
It also works if I log in as the usual user, but then choose to run it as different user and run it as the user I have just created.

The only information left I can provide is what I see in the task manager.
When Qt Creator window is not visible the column "Threads" shows 4, where it is 18 when it works properly.

Since there are no further suggestions I assume it is a bug, I reported it here: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG-24240
