    Hi all,

    I'm trying to install Qt 5.9.1 on ubuntu 16.04, but its installing older version of Qt .Please guide me to install qt5.9 version.

      Do you use Ubuntu resources only?
      AFAIK you can use the linux maintenance tool for downloading any version of Qt from https://www.qt.io/download

        Thanks for your reply.

        i have downloaded open source online installer. i get error when i run that file.

        chmod 777 qt-unified-linux-x64-3.2.1-online.run
        then i have execute the file  ./qt-unified-linux-x64-3.2.1-online.run
        bash: ./qt-unified-linux-x64-3.2.1-online.run: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

              If you are 32-bit you should not be running a 64-bit installer.

              You can see from https://askubuntu.com/a/1117540/475088 how someone else did it, substitute correctly for the version of Qt you want and the correct architecture.

                @sharath At some point Qt Company stopped to provide 32bit Qt builds, but I think it was after Qt 5.5, so I would guess that there should be something newer than 5.5.
                Anyway, do you really have to use 32bit OS?
