I'm trying out a qml application with source code editor features. I was looking out for existing libraries and found KTextEditor, KSyntaxHighlighting, edbee.

All of them are based on QWidget. From what I understand I cannot use QWidget alongside QtQuick 2. Or is it possible?

Can I still use KTextEditor with a qml frontend?

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

AFAIK, no. However you should check KDAB's DeclarativeWidget project, this may help you get started.
