    Dear Gurus,

Why don't QT provide an PropertyGrid widget?

    Thanks,
    Bruce

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      What should a PropertyGrid widget do/provide/implement ?

It's not part of the official package, but is Property Browser something you would be interested in?

@SGaist it is something like the one in the QtDesigner. When you click on the object, such as menubar, the below property viewer will list all its properties. the property viewer is exactly what I want.

          Thanks

            Qt developers,

Do you have any plan to release PropertyGrid officially?

              @sinall said in PropertyGrid:

This is Qt users forum :-)
If you want to ask Qt developers you should do that on their mailing list. As alternative you can create a change request in Qt bug tracker.

                Hi and welcome to devnet,

                What is PropertyGrid ?

If you meant the PropertyBrowser @Chris-Kawa linked to, it's already available, you just have to follow the instructions provided to integrate it in your application.

By the way, this is a user driven forum. If you want to reach out to Qt Developers/Maintainers, the interest mailing list is better suited.

@SGaist yes, I mean PropertyBrowser, or CMFCPropertyGridCtrl alternatives in QT.

I'm using PropertyBrowser in qt-solutions, it is not available in QT designer. Another fork on git provides plugin, but have compilation errors.

The PropertyBrowser is not in official release, that's why I want to know if they have a plan.

                    Hi
I would be very surprised if it was included.
There has not been added a new Widget
to Designer for years so I highly doubt this one would make it :)

I doubt too. The PropertyBrowser was developed before 2010, it hasn't been included in release yet, so will properly not be included in future :(

Interesting thing is that it seems that Designer itself uses this widget, means one can not write Designer using official release only.

well Designer has its own implementation so i think they mostly have the name in common :)
