      Yes, but to my knowledge 5.6.3 is the latest Version of Qt that still supports Windows XP. No Idea for Ubuntu 11

      TO what you should use, what ever you have more experience in. imho

        @burjuvanzi Hi and welcome!

        See here: https://wiki.qt.io/PlatformSupport
        You can use Qt 5.6 if you develop on Windows 7 or newer and deploy it then to XP.
        If you want to use XP to develop and deploy then the newest Qt version you can use is 5.5.
        Not sure about Ubuntu 11.04. You can try to install and use latest Qt using online installer. If it does not work try the previous version until you find one which works. I think Qt 5.6 should work.

          Hi
          Ubuntu 11.04 is better than win xp in terms
          of security. Win Xp should not be used any more. (IMHO)

          However, if it runs Ubuntu 11, cant you just upgrade it ?
          The newer version should also work on the same hardware.

              @burjuvanzi Be aware that Ubuntu 11.04 is not supported anymore - you will not even get any security updates.

                Up to you, but you could at least try 14.04 or even 12.04 instead of 11.04...
