Unsolved Flashing QtCreator interface
-
I'm using QtCreator 5.12.2 on a Mac running 10.14.4, and am seeing a curious flashing in the interface.
The black border around the UI flashes at exactly the same rate as the text insertion cursor. When the cursor is off, the black border gets darker. When it reappears, the border gets lighter. This only happens when the app is in the foreground. I can see faster flickering when scrolling code.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there a known fix?

Hi,
Do you mean Qt Creator itself ?
If so, which version are you using ? -
Whoops, sorry. I posted the Qt version, not the QtCreator version.
I'm using version 4.9.0

@igor_stravinsky I saw something yesterday, that might be related to your problem.
For me, the "active parse context" combo box changed its content with every keystroke.
I have not seen that before, so it should be something new.
Let's see if I can reproduce it.

I have been seeing the same symptoms in Qt Creator for a while - currently I'm on Qt Creator 4.9.1 on macOS Mojave 10.14.5.
The issue was accurately described - the grey border on the left, top, and bottom flickers light grey and dark grey in step with the cursor flickering on and off. The flickering goes away for a bit if I quit and restart Qt. I have tried switching color schemes, and that only helps in the sense that the flickering is less noticeable when it occurs, but it does not eliminate it and it is still noticeable.
I believe I started seeing this issue after I upgraded to Mojave which introduced dark mode, but perhaps it was there before, when I upgraded Qt Creator.
Has someone already filed a bug for this, or do we need to do that?
