Solved Where exactly is qcollectiongenerator?
-
Hi I'm trying to use QHelpEngine to embed a help file into my application. I'm using Qt5.12.0 on ubuntu16.04. I'm following the tutorial in the link. However, when it comes to generate the .qhc file, I could not find qcollectiongenerator in my system.
Where could I actually install this Qt tool? Probably the 5.12.0 version which is the same as my Qt. Thanks.

@dalishi On my Linux machine it is Qt/5.12.1/gcc_64/bin/qcollectiongenerator
It is part of normal Qt installation and there is no need to install anything else than Qt to get it. -

@dalishi Can you install 5.12.1 (or 5.12.2) and check?

qcollectiongenerator
Mine is in
C:\Qt\Qt5.12.2\5.12.2\mingw73_64\bin\qcollectiongenerator.exe -
Hi,
It was merged into qhelpgenerator in Qt 5.12.0. It was added back in 5.12.1 but it redirects to qhelpgenerator.

Thanks @SGaist This clears out the confusion. Thanks.
