How to set baud rate in bluetooth / RFCOMM?

Hi all!
I'm new to Qt and android. I used bluetooth chat example to be able to get connected to my bluetooth (ELM327) adapter. However I am unable to set the baud rate. The device is most reliable at 9600 baud rate so i would like to set it at this rate. Can anyone please help me? i tried a lot of google search but baud rate was nowhere to be found. I came accross this QExtSerialPort but since its a bluetooth connection, I don't know how this would be done.
