New user here. I tried to install source together the first time, but stuck at source install for an hour. I decided to ditch it since I probably don't have to deal with Qt source yet. I am using HDD and source code is small files so there's that. How long does it take for you to install source?

The question is relevant for Windows only, because MS's file system is insanely slow by itself. Just a note for anyone that may decide to respond here.

Hi, agreed it's slow, you could try instead to download the zip file of Qt's source

          Have the same Problem.
Seems the Windows Defender Realtime Protection is causing the slow down.

          Turn it off while installing.
