I think what you're looking for is the Occurences settings of the QtC-Texteditor, you can change that to your liking.

How not to display any special effect to the word under the cursor?

@jronald he, I changed it to red to make sure I showed you the correct one, apparently changing it to transparent results in a greyish color.

I'm not sure if you can change that or deaktivate that specific highlighting effect.
