    The main window of my QML application is partially transparent. This is achieved by

    @opacity: 0.5@

    statement.

    It's working like charm on KDE4, but when I switch to MATE Desktop Environment (latest in FC21) the opacity parameter gets useless. If I install compiz the transparency works, but there are other issues with compiz why I want to avoid using it.

    Has anybody already seen this issue? Any idea how to solve it without compiz?

    Thanks,

      Hi,

      I don't know MATE but what comes to mind is: does it offer transparency ? Maybe it's a feature that needs an activation or a particular compositor (compiz makes me think of that, there might be alternatives to it)

      Hope it helps
