I get this error every build:

Qt has only been tested with version 10.13 of the platform SDK, you're using 10.13.4

I don't see a way to downgrade my SDK to 10.13.
The only available command line tools on the apple web site says this:

    0_1544813658090_Screen Shot 2018-12-14 at 10.53.59 AM.png
which says "10.13", not "10.13.4". When i install that, i get the above mentioned error.
I really don't want to add "CONFIG+=sdk_no_version_check" to my pro file

Xcode 9 (=SDK 10.13) older versions are available to download from Apple.

You can use the following to switch between versions

          sudo xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode-9.app

@bcam are you suggesting i download Xcode 9 instead of Xcode 9.4.1 ? Or what is the latest version of Xcode command line tools that has SDK 10.13? How do i find that out?

              @davecotter

              Yes, I have both 9 and 9.4.1.

I do not get the warnings when attempting to cross compile Qt for Rasp Pi using Xcode 9.

it seems that 9.3 for 10.13 is the earliest command line tools that can be installed on 10.14.2.
it's not possible to install any earlier (ie: i can't possibly install 9.0 tools, since i'm on 10.14.2)

and i'm still getting this message:

You didn't say what version of Qt you were using. The version used to build Qt Creator doesn't matter for that.

@davecotter That is again the Qt version Qt Creator was built with, not the Qt version you are using to build your programs.

Qt has to stay free or it will die.

I don't know if this is going to be suitable for you (or for others). My suggestion would be to only keep one version of Qt and always remove the ones you currently don't need or don't want to build with. Makes the "Projects" selection much easier and prevents this kind of accident.
