I am not really interested in the more advanced features of Qt, because I am just making very basic applications. Still I feel like I need something to read, that covers the basics. I can't seem to find a book for Qt 5 at all. Can anyone clue me in please?

      Hi,

For basic applications, Qt 4 dedicated books still mostly apply to Qt 5. One important point would be that widgets are now in the widgets module rather than gui otherwise the core concept are the same.

If you're interested in QML this is a good basics material: "QML Book":http://qmlbook.org/
