what is the best way to make settings for my application?

    I'm creating an application and i wanna to make settings form and if i stored my settings preferences in sqlite db it will use a lot if databases Query and if statements and of course it will slow my application just a little so is there another way to store settings and access it easily?

      Would you be interested in file or registry? I use both:
      http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qsettings.html
      http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qt-labs-settings-settings.html <= is lab / experimental may change - if they can it you can go back to QSettings for the same affect.

        @6thC I think registry is only for windows, the application will run on linux most

          @davidlabib Please read QSettings documentation: it does everything for you. On Windows it will use Registry on Linux config files.

            ... and you can force it to use config files on every platform :)

            Qt has to stay free or it will die.
