Strange effect after changing to 5.11.1

Just updated from 5.10 to 5.11.1 win x64 and noticed some strange shadow effect with a tooltip over an OpenGLWidget.
These two gifs were recorded just now and from the same code base. Just switching the version in the vs tools. Any suggestion how
I can further investigate what's going on here? -

The quick and easy first would be to take a look at the release notes between 5.10 and 5.11.1 to see if there's anything related to OpenGL it them.
