    The online installer was taking way too long, so I'm trying the offline qt-opensource-windows-x86-5.11.0.exe one:

    I noticed the weird \/ in the file path and tried again with forward slashes:

    Now it's even weirder: \/\

    Also, the "Tools" folder does not exist at this time.

    (update)
    Tried on 2 different machines, same result.

      Hi
      Make sure no virus scanner is interrupting the install.
      I had the same sort of ultra strange error one time installing at work.
      It was the scanner halting the files and messed up the install.

        Same result without the antivirus.

          @Zueuk
          Was both machines running win 7 ?

          Also, could the installer file be damaged ?

            Damn, you're right - MD5 doesn't match, redownloading the installer now...

            (update)
            That's odd, this installer is shorter than the "corrupt" one I downloaded a few days ago, and its digital signature is newer.

            Well, the problem is solved anyway.

              Hi @Zueuk, please don't delete your post after the issue is resolved. Keep it there so that other people with the same problem can understand the solution.
