I need to modify the code of shared.cpp but am not able to find where it is in my Mac OS X.
The file is this : http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qttools.git/tree/src/macdeployqt/shared/shared.cpp

So I guess it should be somewhere inside qttools folder but I can't find it in my mac.

Basically I just want to modify the source of macdeployqt, so where is the .cpp file located?

@SGaist I just followed the download instruction after downloading from https://www.qt.io/download-open-source

Is there a separate package or something that I need to download?
My current QT folder is like this :

The simple way is to start the MaintenanceTool application and grab the sources from there.

@SGaist Starting the tool gives me a QT setup wizard asking for adding/removing/updating components.
How to grab the sources from there, as I am afraid if I proceed I might not change some basic QT settings.

Go to Add/Remove component and just check the Qt sources matching the one you installed.
